I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Public Health in the Faculty of Health and Welfare Sciences of the University of Haifa.
I specialize in environmental and social determinants of health. My research is based on the premise that the environment in which we live shapes a great deal of our behavior and can therefore provide an accessible and cost-effective intervention platform to promote public health and well-being. The overarching goal of my research is to generate knowledge that can be used to promote the health and quality of life of the general population, with an emphasis on specific groups, who are more likely to be exposed to higher health risks and poorer prognoses. Correspondingly, my research seeks to identify and understand environmental and social determinant of health with a focus on underrepresented age-groups, ethnic minorities, rural communities, and disadvantaged populations and regions.
